Often we get bogged down in the humdrum of daily living and drift into a life lived without purpose, joy, expectancy, or hope.
On my desk and in my heart are a few words penned by Pastor Chuck Swindoll some 20 years ago. I use them as a reminder when life gets dull. He said,
"The days of maintenance far outnumber the days of magnificent."
This thought, this truth, has spurred me on to remember a few things in this temporal state of life and to maintain focus on what true life is. I hope this thought encourages you, as well.
